ANZLIC's strength lies in partnerships with all government jurisdictions, professional and commercial groups, and users of spatial information.
Partnerships continue to be the key to a stronger spatial information industry.
ANZLIC has developed key partnerships with peak organisations representing the spatial community, as well as with allied bodies representing users of spatial information.
These partnerships have contributed to the growth of the industry, aiming to provide decision-makers in all areas of the community with access to quality spatial information services to help them make more effective decisions.
ANZLIC’s key partners are listed below. (This is provided for information only).

The Australian Spatial Consortium - ASC

The Australian Spatial Consortium (ASC) was conceived by 35 of the nation’s leading spatial thinkers in March 2007.  They agreed that the nation needed:

“A consortium to accelerate the unlocking of the potential of spatial information for economic, environmental and social benefit for Australia within key industries, and the development of tools, new technologies and capabilities relating to the fundamental future needs of the nation.”

The Australian Spatial Consortium empowers our industry – government, corporate and research communities – to collectively address Australia’s greatest information challenges.

These include realising the potential of the nation’s vast data holdings; promoting the establishment of world class positioning infrastructure; and stimulating innovation.

It builds on the impetus created by the 2001 Spatial Information Action Agenda, and brings cohesion to the spatial information industry.

The Australian Spatial Consortium provides a valuable forum in which the core players in spatial information can explore common interests and accelerate their collective achievements.

It adds value to Australia’s spatial organisations and structures, and to their individual outcomes and success.
